As part of International Translation Day, on 25 September 2024, I gave a short talk on ProZ.com about digital nomadism specifically aimed at freelance translation and localization professionals. For those who don’t know, it’s the world’s leading translation portal, which makes me very grateful and honoured for this opportunity!
I took this chance to shed light on some topics on which I feel there is very little relatable information for us, such as getting started and navigating instability as a new freelancer, growing internationally as a linguist in the post-pandemic world, and thoughts on a more sustainable nomadism.
